Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Handling

When you order a software product, the only items that are shipped are the CD and instructions. If you opted for the Electronic/Downloadable version of the software only, you will not be shipped any items. Under this option, you will be receiving the download link, Activation Code and instructions by email.  Please make sure you check your Junk/Spam Mailbox, because our emails may be re-routed there.

Soon after your order has been processed, you will receive two e-mails: 

First E-mail:  Confirmation email containing the product, cost, shipping method, address and order number.  Please check this information and inform us of any errors as quickly as possible.

Second E-mail:  An Email containing your Activation Code, download link and instructions.

If you order the CD, you will receive an email within the next 48 business hours; this email is an Order Update containing updated information on your shipment.  If your shipment has a Tracking Number, you will find it here, in this Order Update.

Please make sure you check your Junk/Spam Mailbox, because our emails may be re-routed there.

Note: If your ISP controls the e-mail you receive, you will need to make arrangements to allow e-mail from Word Magic Software to be accepted.

Any orders received after 2pm (Central Time Zone) Monday – Friday, will be shipped on the following business day (unless it is a holiday).  Orders received on Saturday or Sunday will be shipped on the next business day, usually Monday (unless it is a Holiday). 

If a CD is ordered, it will be shipped within 48 business hours of placing the order. All items are shipped from the Houston, Texas area (USA).

Shipping is carried out via the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Federal Express. These services have been chosen because they’re reliable and customer-friendly. The Shipping cost includes Handling.

 

Domestic Shipping (USA, including Hawaii, Alaska and certain US Possessions):

Standard Shipping

The Standard shipping option uses USPS at the First Class rate. Rates are listed at Checkout.  These rates include handling costs. Under this option, the CD should arrive within 2 – 5 business days of order placement, depending upon location and other Postal Service criteria.  Most items are usually received within 3 days or less.  To choose this option, click the select button for Standard at the Checkout.

On the day the CD is shipped, an email will be sent to the email address you entered when placing your order. This notification will include a Delivery or Signature Confirmation tracking number.  With this number, you can go to https://buy.wordmagicsoft.com/catalog/account.php and check the status of your shipment; or you can also check the shipping status of your order at:  www.usps.com at any time after your order has been placed.

If you ordered a CD and it has not arrived within 10 days after placing the order, please go to https://buy.wordmagicsoft.com/catalog/account.php to check the shipping status of your order, or you can also contact us by phone or e-mail.

 

Express Shipping  (USA, including Hawaii, Alaska and certain US Possessions)

Our Express shipping option uses Federal Express.  The service rates and levels are listed at Checkout.  These rates include handling costs.

Depending upon your selected level of service, your CD should arrive in 1 to 3 days.  Please note that some areas are not served by overnight service or may have other restrictions.  You will be notified of these limitations when selecting your preferred shipping services. To choose this option, click the select button for the Express service level you prefer, at the Checkout.

On the day the CD is shipped, an email will be sent to the email address you entered when placing your order. This notification will include a Tracking Number.  With this number, you can go to https://buy.wordmagicsoft.com/catalog/account.php and check the status of your shipment; or you can also go to www.fedex.com and check the shipping status of your order at any time after your order has been placed.

International Shipping (for countries other than USA, Hawaii & Alaska & certain US Possessions): 

Standard Shipping
The Standard shipping option for International orders is located at the Checkout under the heading Standard Shipping. This option uses the United States Postal Service (USPS) at the Global Priority rate.  The pertaining rates are listed at Checkout.  These rates include handling costs.

Any customs charges, duties or surcharges will be the sole responsibility of the recipient.

Under this option, the CD should arrive within 5 - 10 days, depending upon location and Postal Service criteria. Once the item arrives in the country of destination, it is entered into the local Postal System; most items are usually delivered within 5 - 6 days or less. 

With this service, there is no tracking number assigned. 

This service is not available to all countries.  You will be notified of the availability to your country or city when you select this option.

To choose this option, click the select button for Standard at Checkout.

On the day your CD is shipped, you will be notified via the e-mail address you provided when placing your order. 

You can also go to https://buy.wordmagicsoft.com/catalog/account.php and check the status of your shipment.  The only information provided for this option will be date of mailing, as there is no tracking number.

Express Shipping (Countries Other Than The USA):
This option uses Federal Express.  The rates and service levels are listed at Checkout.  These rates include handling costs.  Any duties or surcharges will be the sole responsibility of the recipient

Depending upon your selected level of service, your CD should arrive in 1 to 5 days.  Please note that some areas are not served by overnight service or may have other restrictions.  You will be notified of these limitations when selecting your preferred shipping services. Some services are not guaranteed for a certain day or time of delivery.

Return / Refund Policy

Please review our return policy before purchasing any of Word Magic Software’s products.

Word Magic Software offers a free downloadable and/or online demonstration of our all our Standard and Professional products for evaluation. Except for the Home Edition Versions, it is assumed that the buyer has reviewed his/her product of choice and is completely satisfied with its quality before effecting actual purchase of said product. If you have not tried our free evaluation demonstration, please do so before purchasing any of our products. With knowledge of the above, no refund/return request should be solicited by the buyer/user on such basis. All translation software is non-refundable.

In view of the above said, we will review return/refund requests on defective software only. If your product is defective in any way, it can be replaced with another version of the same software, at no extra charge to the user. Please send all return/refund requests to orders@wordmagicsoft.com, as well as your reason for such request. A reply will be sent to you after it has been determined if a return/refund is necessary. If it is determined that your product is defective, we will notify you of an Exchange Authorization Number that will be used to return your software. The returned product must include all its packaging and documentation. Packing the product for undamaged return is your responsibility. All returned products must be undamaged. Once we receive the defective software, a new factory-sealed version of the software you purchased will be sent to you.

In the event of any monetary refund, the return payment shall be for 80% of the value of the software less shipping and handling costs, and only if the following actions have been completed within thirty days of purchase:

  1. The request for a refund is received by WMS, in writing (E-mail or snail mail); phone calls will not be sufficient. The request for a refund must include: Order #, date of purchase, name under which the product was registered, name of person the item was billed to, the e-mail address used at the time of purchase, manner in which the purchase was paid for, i.e., Credit Card, Purchase Order, Check, Money Order, Wire, etc.
  2. The CD is returned with original packaging
  3. The INACTIVATION feature has been performed

The refund will be processed in the same manner as payment was made.
